We are an Indie Record label founded in Lee County, Iowa on the mighty Mississippi River in 1981. Still alive and well, based in Nashville, Tennessee.
It took me 10 years to write this book and 40 years of playing music for a living so I could. Published in 2003 and I only have around 20 copies left in stock. Here are some comments from readers:
"I read something fantastic this weekend...your book! It is one of the best books I've read for artists in the music industry. I'm going to give or recommend this book to every artist I meet. It's really THAT good."

Catfish Dancin' Records was established in Ft. Madison, Iowa in 1981 as an Indie Record Label to release the music of Iowa band, The Ozone Ramblers. We relocated to Nashville, TN and over the last 46 years we've recorded and released lots of music and most of it will be available for purchase in our online store, though the majority of our Ozone Ramblers items are limited in supply and have been stored in our tape and record vault all these years.
We are proud to announce that The Ozone Ramblers have been chosen to be inducted into the Iowa Rock n' Roll Hall of Fame, Class of 2024, on September 1st in Arnold Parks, Iowa where their HOF Museum is located.
The future is bright and we have many more releases to come so please stick your head in on a regular basis to see what's new. If you have any questions or if I can be of help in any way just let me know and thanks so much for stopping by!
